SOMEONE IS COUNTING ON YOU RIGHT NOW
At the American Red Cross, we closely monitor national and local
blood supplies to ensure we can provide blood where and when it
is needed.
There is a critical need for blood donors now.
In fact, someone is counting on you at this very moment to give
the gift of life. All blood types are needed, but type O
negative donors can make the difference between an adequate
blood supply and a shortage.
Please give blood as soon as you can and encourage a friend or
neighbor to give too. Make and keep your appointment to donate
today.
Please call 1-800-RED CROSS or click
here to find a convenient blood donation location and to
schedule a lifesaving blood donation appointment.

A joint effort between the American Red
Cross and the Salvation Army has made 2010 the ninth year that
the Proud To Be American License Plate has been available.
This attractive plate is more than just a symbol of ones pride
and commitment to the values of America, but a contribution to
help fund many of the programs administered by the American
Red Cross and the Salvation Army.
When visiting the Michigan
Secretary of State, please consider purchasing a Proud
To Be American License Plate as a replacement for the plate
you currently have. For a nominal
fee, you can proudly show your support for
America, the Salvation Army, and the American Red Cross.

Through a
generous grant through the Walmart Foundation, the American Red
Cross Genesee-Lapeer Chapter was able to purchase a trailer,
complete with equipment such as cots, blankets, pillows, and
other items, that will be used in times of disaster such a major
tornado, flood, or fire. "At Walmart, helping communities is
what we do every day. And when a crisis strikes, that
charge becomes an even greater priority," said Margaret McKenna,
President of the Walmart Foundation. Because of their
generous support, we will be better positioned to prevent,
prepare for and respond to disasters in our community.
Please support your local Walmart.
