Blood Donors Are Always Needed
Consistent donations from new and regular blood
donors are needed year-round to maintain a stable blood supply. A three-day
supply is considered safe and adequate, with five to seven considered optimal
for meeting emergency and disaster-related needs. In the past two years, the
overall blood supply in Michigan has rarely edged above two days.
